    Nimbus Independent is a new ski film company formed in the fall of 2007 by professional skier Eric Pollard. Eric shared a perspective on skiing and filmmaking with fellow pro skiers Pep Fujas, Andy Mahre and Chris Benchetler. Together, four of the world’s most influential skiers decided to set out and make ski films that represent the sport as they see it. What is it about skiing? The Nimbus Independent crew tries to answer that question. This film showcases skiing that is more fun and enjoyable for everyone, more about fluidity and style than amplitude or quantity of rotations, it breaks from the norm of pro athletes hitting jump after jump with a couple contrived lifestyle segments, to producing a project that communicates what ski culture is and the community it creates through the eyes of Pep Fujas, Eric Pollard, Chris Benchetler, Ike Smith, Andy Mahre and their friends. “HUNTING YETI” searches for the piece of mind and serenity that being in nature, the mountains and with your friends provides from the crazy, fast paced world. Follow the Nimbus Crew on their season long road trip, riding with like minded skiers and snowboarders, whether sponsored or not. From never ending pillow lines to epic sled missions in the backcountry, witness what it takes to make it happen. Not just the high fives and big smiles, but also relentless traveling, flat tires, broken sleds, fast food, early mornings and injuries. The whole movie is like one big highlight centered around different themes. Enjoy this fresh perspective and film structure that isn’t the same formula of location or athlete based segments.     This spring, Poor Boyz Productions brought competitive skiing into the information age with their Jib Jam Invitational, a live, online video contest. The event gathered top-level athletes from around the globe and pitted them against each other on a gamut of monstrous terrain park features. The skiers rose to the challenge throughout the 10-day session, throwing down terrain park trickery like you’ve never seen before.

The quest continues in the urban playground of Salt Lake City, UT, and on to the backcountry of Pemberton BC. Finally, the spines of Haines Alaska, and a spring super-park jam at Mt Hood, Oregon.

    Filthy Rich Productions presents “Proven Guilty”, the third part in a trilogy of ski films. The fast paced skiing is captured entirely in Sony HD throughout the 07-08 season in the Greater Tahoe region. Snowmobiles provide access to Tahoe’s finest terrain and secret deep pow stashes. The crew is caught on film blasting steep lines, kickers and cliff drops in the colorful powder filled Tahoe Backcountry. There is also evidence of destroying various resort park obstacles and greasing many jibs in the Tahoe basin. The technical skiing is laced with original music from the Bay Area and Hawaii.
