I Won The First Competition of the Season – Vlog 15

    Release date: January 1, 2022

First of all it’s been a while since I uploaded my last vlog, sorry about that! But this season’s schedule has been tight and a lot other things have been going on so that’s why it took a while to upload this video. This vlog is filmed in November, when I went to Austria for training and for a World Cup and now it’s finally available for you! Better late than never! 😀 From now on my vlogs will be in English with Estonian subtitles, which you need to turn on on the Youtube video. You can also let me know in the comments if you like my vlogs better in English or in Estonian?

I was so happy to be back skiing after my hand injury (talking more about this in the vlog) that messed up my initial plans for the season. In the beginning it was a little scary to ski becuase my hand wasn’t 100% healed, so I wasn’t sure how my hand will feel when I ride/jump or am I going to break it again when I crash? Luckly I overcame this fear quite quickly, then I already could focus more on my tricks and on the first competition of the season, which went really well. Couldn’t wish for a better start to my season!

Qualified for Olympics – Vlog 16

    Release date: January 16, 2022

I spent my first 3 weeks of December competing in The United States. The plan was to take part of 5 different comps but due to some difficulties I wasn’t able to start in Dew Tour’s slopestyle – it was miserable! However I still did the rest of the competitions and the schedule stayed pretty tight.

My main goal in US was to qualify for the Olympics in Halfpipe. Prior to the event my Olympics spot was uncertain since I hadn´t earned any points yet. I knew that if I successfully landed my run It would probably be enough to earn my spot. And now I can proudly tell you all that I made it – so cool! Dew Tour took place on the last week where I did Halfpipe and also Streetstyle, which was a completely new experience to me. I´m really satisfied with this trip and my results!

Most X Games Medals as a Teen in the History – Vlog 17

    Release date: January 26, 2022

2022 started with a journey. We flew to US on the first days of January to compete there, but unfortunately our luggage was left behind in Europe. After few days nobody hadn’t delivered our bags and by that time I wasn’t sure if I can even compete because I didn’t have my clothes, my ski gear or my knee brace, which was the most important piece missing. But then Mike went on a 34h journey to get our bags to Mammoth that I could still compete, but this trip wasn’t too smooth either.

In the end everything still turned out great and I was able to land my runs.

After the World Cups in Mammoth we went to Los Angeles for a week (this vlog will be dropping some other time), just to relax before the XGames. And I’m happy to tell you that luckly we didn’t have any issues when travelling to XGames, everything went as planned, thank god! This year I decided to compete only in Slopestyle and Halfpipe. The past years it’s been super hard to do all three, it’s hard both menatlly and physically so I just wanted to focus more on Slope and Pipe. I feel it was a smart decision. First I had Halfpipe finals on Friday which went super well! I won my second Halfpipe gold at XGames and became the most XGames medals won teen in XGames history – wow! Sadly the next day didn’t go so well. I fell on my first run on the second rail and hit my head a little so I decided to pull out from the comp, which again was a smart move I think. It wasn’t anything serious and right now I’m back to full health so you don’t have to worry about me!

My First Olympic Medal – Vlog 18

    Release date: April 10, 2022

My first Olympics! The goal for this season was to stay in a good shape, stay healthy and avoid injuries, so I could go to my first Olympics. I found myself often thinking what if I get injured during the season and I won’t be able to go to China like it happened back in 2018 before Pyeongchang Olympic games. Looking back at my journey I can peacefully say that I made it there without any major setbacks.

Not to mention it was still a rocky path, where I often found myself in stressful and nerve-racking situations. All in all everything came to a great end, I’m really proud of my bronze medal which I won in Slopestyle. But that’s not everything. I still had two World Cups to attend before finishing my competition season.

I managed to win the last WC of the season in Silvaplana and got myself a trophy that I never had and which I can now proudly say I have in my collection! 🙂
