Sure you’ve seen the X Games, but not like this. Mike Douglas takes you on a behind the scenes tour of X Games 12. From production meetings to the judges stand. From the parties to the commentating booth. This is the side of the X-Games you never get to see.
Mike Douglas returns to the LPP to talk about his role with Protect Our Winters Canada as well as how the pandemic has changed the operations of his own production company, Switchback Entertainment. He also talks about the many shifts he’s seen in how people consume their ski content in the 25 or so years that he’s been the “Godfather”.
Mike Douglas is a living legend in the ski industry. He’s known in the ski world as “The Godfather”, he was one of the behind the scenes leaders of the New Canadian Air Force, a group that takes credit for the development of the first modern twin tip. Nowadays, he’s still a paid, pro skier but his focus is on filmmaking and his production company, Switchback Entertainment, has been killing it for over a decade. We talk about it all on the podcast.
