Mainio is part of the infamous Forre crew who have been putting some incredible ski films in the past few years. Mainio joined the crew in 2021 for their film ‘Forrmula’ and made waves with his unique and impressive segment. He ended up winning the ‘trick of the year’ award at the 2022 Newschoolers award for his segment’s closing shot. Last season, Mainio got back to work with Forre and starred in their new film ‘Cast’ that won the ‘best short film’ award at High Five festival last fall.
In this episode we discussed Mainio youth, how he got into park skiing and how he eventually joined Forre. We get deep into his ‘Forrmula’ and ‘Cast’ shots. We also go in every direction regarding street skiing and what it entails.
